Artificial intelligence
Master Sciences de la Terre et des planètes, environnementParcours Geosciences for the energy system transition
Description
This course aims to develop the practice of AI and massive data processing in geosciences, by combining 12 hours of theoretical courses in AI and 12 hours of practical courses around the presentation of three specific applications in massive computing.
The 12 hours of theoretical classes will be given by a teacher-researcher in computer science and will cover the foundations and concepts of AI, the main conceptual approaches and the notions of massive computing. The 12 hours of practical teaching will be carried out around a Digital Learning Environment "AI - Geosciences" (ENA-IA) associating computing power (mainly on CPU processors), numerical notebooks (such as Jupyter web application) and the main AI libraries. Concrete applications in seismological data processing, satellite data processing, and hydrological data processing will be presented.
